Namekagon Lake offers excellent fishing, and anglers will find musky, pike, walleye and bass, among other fish varieties, available in abundance. It is surrounded by a hardwood and hemlock forest in northwestern Wisconsin. The campground is situated on the 3,227-acre Namekagon Lake that is famous for its fishing potential. Please help protect our forests from invasive species by obtaining your firewood at or near your camping destination and burning it on-site. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood. Off-road vehicles must be secured on a trailer when parked within the campground.First-come, first-served sites may be available.Accessible vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection and recycling bins are also provided.Ī day-use picnic area is equipped with multiple tables, picnic shelters, a basketball court, beach, boat ramp and fishing piers. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. The campground offers a couple dozen single-family campsites for tent or RV camping. With its close proximity to mountain bike trails and the North Country hiking trail, Namekagon campground is an ideal location for making a base camp. It is the perfect spot to kayak, canoe, jet ski, swim or take a boat ride to one of the many restaurants along the shoreline. Namekagon campground is a family-friendly campground that runs alongside its namesake lake, at the headwaters of the Namekagon River.
